Keefe, in typical Keefe fashion, decided a note was the only thing to leave before disappearing. Sophie's heartbroken about him being gone, maybe forever, but the Neverseen is still a threat to her and her friends and family. After losing him, Sophie's not here to play their games anymore. Beginning right after the latest Keepers book Unlocked, Sophie returns home to Find Grady suspiciously sad, but never in her mind could she have imagined why, finally she goes up stairs and reads Keefe's (heartbreaking) letter.
