I hang my head and walk down the hallway of the unfamiliar school. I moved from Ohio to go live with my Aunt Jane, in the winter. I have no friends here, and I don't know anybody in this town. A million things went through my mind, then they were cut off by my body crashing into somebody else's. I fall to the ground, and my books fall beside me.
"S-sorry." I say softly as I swoop down to pick up my books. A hand grabs them and hands them to me.
"Nothing to worry about." I look up and see a gorgeous guy. Black hair and green eyes. "You're the new girl? Ryder?"
"Y-yeah."
"I'm Damon." He smiles at me and helps me up. "Let me show you around."

The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? "You dropped this." I heard a husky voice say. I turned around to look at what I dropped and realized it was my schedule. I gasped. Damn, I would have been fucked if I'd lost it. I guess I didn't put it in my bag... I looked up to thank him, but ended up not being able to find my voice. He's really attractive. Drop dead gorgeous attractive. Hot. He has brown hair that is spiked up in a messy way and shiny chocolate brown eyes that are hard not to stare at. His jawline was firm and he is extremely tall compared to my 5'3" height; he seems like he's 6'1". He looks in good shape -- the white shirt he was wearing showed off his broad muscular chest. He wore a leather-mans jacket from the school over the t-shirt, with black denim jeans, and converse. I swallowed. I snapped out of it and took the paper forcing myself to say "thanks." However, he walked away before I even finished. OK... he obviously isn't interested in the 'new girl' like all the other students are. I can't help but feel a bit disappointed. Out of all the guys that have hit on me in school today he is the only one that has caught my eye -- bad news is that he didn't even bother. "You know him? Me? My names Jane. I got put in foster care when I was 5 my parents didn't want me. I'm fine about it though. I'm 11 now.
