the world has evolved. its the year 3014. crime is low, rights are equal, and love, well that's a whole other story.

you see, at birth, they- as in the doctors, or the government, whatever you want to call it- injects us with a serum that keeps us healthy, gives us the necessary nutrients, and most of all, the one thing that the government fails to mention, is that is marks you. 

it marks you when you fall in love- those are usually black

red when love is requited

scarred when a loved one dies

and then there's the un-marked.

there's no one who they love, no lost ones, and certainly no requited love.

an un-marked is rare.

the government usually 'handles' them,

but what they don't know, is that one of their own,

is unmarked.
