Ghost of You

Shadow Smith is the last Valkyrie. At least the last one known to Asgard. Sent away as a baby, she spent the last few thousand years asleep in a meteorite, until she was awoken by her parents, too young to remember what she lost to Hela. The goddess who marked her at birth as a warrior of death.

For eighteen years she lives in a small cabin in Alaska with her parents. But when the avengers and some other more unsavoury characters bring the fight to her backyard, she finds herself, her newfound powers, and the massive black wings on her back put on the spotlight.

The avengers don't know what do with her. But with her parents gone, she stays with them, trying to figure who -and what- she is.

But in the shadows, she finds solace with another outcast, Bucky Barnes, the former Winter Soldier. Together they try and piece together who they are- and what they mean to each other when the world is so fast to pin them as monsters wearing human skins.
