As manager it becomes harder to cover up her past until something terrible happens. Although if it wasn't for some sly beanpole [f/n] wouldn't be where she was today. He was usually a cold and distant person and didn't really have anyone to turn to after his parents left for a "business trip" a few years back, so everyone was used to his cold demeanor.
