There are many different graces: fighting, swimming, hunting, being unnoticed....  In this story we meet a 17 year old girl that goes by Shadow.  She is graced.  She has a stealth grace, but like most graclings, Shadow hasn't yet mastered her grace.  Her grace creeps into the minds of the people she comes across and they simply don't notice her.
