You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Just like you shouldn't judge Reece Williams by his cocky attitude.
Lacie is a young girl who hasn't been involved with a boy like Reece before. It becomes confusing and she doesn't seem to understand why boys turn off and on the feelings.
