The year is 1728 B.C. and the New Babylonian Empire is emerging. 18 year old Fala has recently graduated from school and is a professional scribe. However, not many people trust the female scribe, for she is a woman and woman are not supposed to be educated. She is one of the very few female scribes in the empire and business is slow; until one day a strange customer orders a strange message to be written for him. This message contains information that Fala should not know and soon she is placed in the center of government secret that threatens her and her family's lives'. In addition, men in the village take notice of her and begin to question her business with the mysterious customer. Can Fala survive the pressure, or will she break???
