In a city where status is everything, deceit is vital.

Aaricia was the princess of Ludonia, until the threats of status thief compromised her safety. Her parents, fearing for the safety of their country gave her up to a kind elderly baking couple in Locus Doli, the heart of the slums of Ludonia. 

However Aaricia drew trouble like a maid draws water and it wasn't long before she was yet again on the run, her different colorings and penance for long words causing just as much trouble as her actual status. However a rebellion is brewing and Aaricia can't remain out of harms way forever, nor can she continue to ignore her heritage. Together with the help of an unlikely ally and cryptic words left behind from family she was unaware she had, she must fight gangs, rebels, guards and even her own heart.
