On their way home from an awards banquet one evening, Mike and his wife, Katrina are critically injured in a freak accident on a desolate road. With a punctured lung and a broken femur jutting through his thigh muscle, Mike breathes a temporary sigh of relief when a car stops. He believes the driver has come to render aid, but instead, robs Mike and leaves his wife to die on the side of the road. Before she passes away, Katrina makes Mike promise to take care of their daughter, and no matter what, to keep the family together. When Mike wakes up in a hospital hours later, he discovers that his wife has died. While suffering through months of grueling physical therapy sessions he has one singular thought - to find the man responsible for abandoning Mike and Katrina and to take his revenge.
