Clover Keith was 10 years old when it happened. Her ability to manipulate plants began and she had to learn how to live with it and use it.

She is now 15 years old and still has the powers- clorokinesis, which is the ability to control plants. She has learned and used her powers for 5 years, each day learning something new. But she doesn't know why she has these powers, or how she got them. All she knows is that she has them.

Her best friend, Astrid Moon, had a similar thing happen to them. Astrid can manipulate the stars and knows plenty about astrology. The two friends don't know if their "powers" are from the same cause but they do know that they want to figure it out.

One day, there's news of the mythological being of evil- Baldassare- being real and wanting something from a certain group of people. Clover and Astrid happen to be two of those people.

So, the two set off in search of this- supposedly evil- being and their goal is to find out what they want and destroy him if it's anything bad. 

Will the two friends be safe? Will they find Baldassare and figure out what they want? Will they find the rest of the group the evil being is searching for? And if so- what will happen?

"Ahhhhh what did I just do?!" I screamed. This question wasn't just about the mirror, it was about tonight, and frankly this whole crush on Oliver. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. He is familiar to her, but yet, still different, as he is a soldier who hasn't quite left the battlefield. Standing so close to him, she can't help but try to steal a closer look at him, but she quickly realizes that this time- he is staring back at her, and he isn't even trying to hide it. His eyes are immediately locked on her at the first sight.
