Maeve Charley's life is in constant change. Ever since her mother's death, her father has bounced their family around from town to town, never settling down. Suddenly, their father finds a new girlfriend and settles his family into a new town, preparing for his new girlfriend to become his new wife. Maeve and her twin brother, Lukas, are on edge about their new-to-be step-mother, Susan. She seems to have two personalities, one with their father and one with everyone else. Continuing to be haunted by visions of her mother's death, Maeve is completely certain that her mother was murdered. Trying to find a killer whom you're not sure if you ever actually saw, is another thing entirely. Being in a new high school does not make anything easier. What happened with her mother's death? Who is Susan, really? And, how, will she ever figure any of this out, if she keeps having odd visions about the future--and they seem to be coming true? Most important, how will the love for two very different boys change her life forever?
