Amity Blight had a strict childhood to say the least. Her family was prestigious and had a very strict way on how to act. Amity never got the freedom and life she wanted. Forced friends, forced smiles, forced dress codes. Amity hated every second of it. But then Luz the human came crashing in, and that ruined everything. Luz changed Amity for the better, and consequently, Amity started to develop feelings for the over-excited female. So Amity eventually built up the courage to finally get it out of her mind and confess to her. Unfortunately, it doesn't go as planned.

She got aggressive/abusive with Luz and school doesn't help, the second day of school comes and before Luz leaves she runs away and finds a house. Luz runs into it and turns out it took her to the boiling isles. But Luz has changed, she was mean, quiet, hostile and had mad trust and anger issues she also developed Hemophobia (fear of blood) and Traumatophobia (fear of having an injury). When joining Hexside the girls there were mean and harsh like the kids at her human school, but Luz learned how to stick her ground there at her human school. Luz would stand her ground and be mean to literally everyone that got in her way.
