Short Story.

Inspired by BTS Jungkook's Euphoria.

I plan to use this for my school writing project.

Set 100 years later

The main character Cameron is a 15-year-old transgender female who meets Luke, a real-life "demigod" (from Rick Riordan's series Percy Jackson), who has the power of the wind (he is also mute). Although they don't talk throughout the whole story, they both feel a strong connection like no other. A friendship like no other.

Sent on a quest to calm the dispute between their parents, they will sacrifice everything to find peace. Can they overcome the rival between their parents? Can they learn to find comfort in each other? Read to find out.

As the six friends continue their journey to finding truth, they are faced with some challenges. Some normal ones and some very bizarre ones. How can one day's event cause so much uproar? How can one day when the six friends remember having a detention change to them being missing as everyone in town tells them? Read to find out how the six friends-Ivory, Lauren, Zoey, Ethan, Reed and Cassandra- navigate through the strange things they find to the path of finding the truth. Who said reuniting with old friends is always nice and comforting? These six friends would differ as they reacquaint themselves with their hometown, Shadowland. This is not an official Rick Riordan story nor do I own any of his characters I do not own this cover or any other Fanart in this story (unless I say otherwise) This story is only for fun so treat it as such Nico has always struggled to understand what it meant to have a family. His own mother died when he was very young and his sister left him alone when he was only ten. Now, finally, he has one to call his own with both his friends at Camp Half-Blood, and Camp Jupiter. But what will happen now that a Greek Demigod finds herself placed in the Hades Cabin? Will she and Nico get along? Or will their own flaws destroy any hope at friendship?

Eric was the younger of twelve year old twins, just approaching their thirteenth birthday. Although only six minutes younger than Lauren, she was clearly the alpha character when it came to sibling rivalry; she had an effervescent outgoing personality and exuded confidence in everything that she did. Eric, on the other hand, was introverted and largely lived his life in under the shadow of his sister. That was until Eric was diagnosed with a life threatening condition. Admitted to hospital for emergency life-changing surgery. Waking up a different person there was a new-found confidence and optimism that results in a metamorphosis into a life that is far from the shadows. Born out of Covid-19 lockdown, this was conceived as a light-hearted short story to counteract the doom and gloom that was resulting from the pandemic. It grew longer than expected, as I got to know Erin. The story might still be a bit rough round the edges, but I wanted to release it in time for summer vacation reading. There is no violence or hatred, just kindness and acceptance. For those that discount this as unrealistic of the real world, I counter two arguments: 1) It is a complete work of fiction. 2) My son went to Lycee (Senior secondary school) in rural France, where attitudes are generally very conservative. Despite this, there was a girl his his year, who believed she should have been a boy. HE was accepted for who he was, without prejudice. Hopefully it offers a little light reading with a happy ending. Not that the story is set in Scotland and the spelling reflects British convention, perhaps with some Scottish dialect thrown in.
