Seems to be bonds between the Gladers, especially A5 and A2. Found a journal entry from one of the gladers: "DAY ???: UNKNOWN I lost count of the days. I was out for a bit, and no one bothered to continue counting the days. We've been here for... I don't know, weeks? Months? Probably years. The maze is a living thing, always shifting and changing, and I swear I heard it breathe. We've lost a few to the labyrinth, and the others are getting quieter.
