Kilgharrah may have told Merlin that nothing he could do would save the Once and Future King, but that doesn't mean he was right. The warlock takes things into his own hands when he revives Arthur at Avalon, but there are consequences for breaking a destiny written before the time of men.
Set just after season 5, Arthur slowly comes to grip with his friends' magic as they return back to Camelot, victorious from the battle of Camlan. Merlin tries his best to face his demons alone, but sometimes the constant pain, scars and tournament is not that easily overcome. The warlock faces his biggest trial yet... himself.

Merthur AU (Set around early season 4) Arthur Pendragon is the new king of Camelot having assumed the throne after his father's death at the hands of his sister, Morgana. When he meets Arthur Pendragon, he can't help but hate the prat. Of course, until he gets to know him better. Meanwhile, Morgana scours the kingdom for the sorcerer Emrys. Desperate to find him before he finds her. When her search leads her towards Ealdor, she's surprised to find Arthur there, and with a scrawny peasant boy no less.
