Because of a broken leg and missing ear, she is kept in the medicine den for 2 moons unable to get her warrior name at the same time as her brother. In the battle, both her adoptive mother and who she knew as her father were killed. Once she had gained her warrior name, Mistyeye, the old medicine cat got really sick and in her last moments she revealed to Whiteriver who her real father is.
