Alex is looking forward to enjoying his trip to Oxford... well as much enjoyment as you could get from a school trip to a museum to look at old books. However, what he did not expect to find was a scorpion ring, secret doors and three thieves ready to steal the worlds most precious manuscript. With the help of his friend, Tom Harris, can Alex stop the thieves? Or will they get away with their plan? Only time will tell.

"Being cool," He jested just before he began to slide down his railing like a little kid. Alex Rider is a spoiled arrogant jerk who is known to show up to school late and never try in class. He parents are finally done with having to pay to get him out of trying in anything. They decide to get him a tutor, but what they don't realize is they are setting their son up with the angel he's been wishing for. His tutor is a polite, sweet girl who doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Everyone is her friend, but she doesn't go out much. Just like everyone in the world, she has a chip on her shoulder that she's been trying the shake off since freshman year. She believes she can break this cocky teenager, but will she break more than she's willing to handle?

Alex finds himself drawn into a urgent mission, that could cost him his life. With little to support, no certainties, can Alex survive? Sorry for any inconsistencies. I changed the plot massively half way though writing.
