This short story was inspired by the (cancelled) tv show, Pushing Daises, starring Lee Pace. If you haven't already, I recommend you watch it.

"We have a baby" she said "and a son" There was a pause on the other line. My heart pounded now "You have a flight to catch John" She said with a chuckle. I had no words, she knew and Vie laughed all along through my silence. [Aries] I nodded. I could swear by my brother's grave, I was dead listening now. "We've been watching you for a month now. Tomorrow is your birthday" I watched him stop and look at me. That message he wanted my eyes to tell, he did see because I couldn't believe that for the past four weeks, I've been under someone's eyes. "Don't get loud yet" Okay. A pre-information that was useful. "Please get to the point sir" He nodded slowly and just stared. I knew at that moment, the answer was coming "You're here for surrogacy and you happen to be the best DNA we could find in such short notice" HEADS UP HERE!! ~All them stories are mine. INTRODUCTION: Missing person reports were just piling up one after another these days. But none of the victims were found alive. After the killer got what he wanted from victim's family, the next day person would be found dead. People are starting to move out from the city. It's gotten worse as hours passed. Phones are ringing at the police stations and 911 calls are getting more and more desperate. Not many things were found out about this town's killer. But, the way people are describing him- yes him- shows that they all see him as an old man called the Gentleman. He got this name from the way he puts his deceased victims bodies. Lying on their back, carefully placed, hair brushed and clean, face without any makeup, but covered with black veil, white nightie with small bouquet in their arms that are placed on their chest. Beautifully horrific sight if you ask me. They all appeared to be women in their early or mid 20s, brunettes with blue eyes, skinny and average height. The Gentleman is described as someone in his late 30s or early 40s, is into art, but mostly sculptures as he shows by placing his victims in recognizable positions. On most of dead women's necks could be seen small tattoos that were assotiated with life and death- butterfly with its wings painted like skull. That was all that we knew of the Gentleman until something happened few days ago...

This was the voice of God he heard when he was about to enter the door of death. "A tragic oped character, sigh, its a very popular trend right now. The normal cliche of losing all your loved ones, an illegitimate son of a noble household, possessing overwhelming magic, good looks and what not. But as I kept writing I realised I made you way too oped, to the point your existence became a threat to the plot." The voice of god spoke to him again. "...Are you the one who killed my family?" He asked back with a blank expression. "Yes." Spoke the voice again. This simple one sentence angered him to the point he fought harder against his predestined death. He was enraged. The death of his family was orchestrated by this damn god, his life made miserable and painful, so he had to rise again, back on his two feets so he could destroy the god's world. And so he did. He rose again, defeating his death. Then he had his revenge by almost destroying the world. Almost!!! Before he could lead to the death of the Male and the female lead a thing called system was bounded to his soul. He was forced to leave his world and enter many different worlds. "Well, Unfreeze the OOC!" He demanded with a malicious grin on his face. He had to have his revenge. But most important of all, he had to be the one incharge of his characters. "......." The system shivered at his words, its invisible eyes bulging out. Unbeknownst to him, a GOD had embarked on a journey to a portal of unknown origin right at the time when he was entering a new world. A prequel to the screenplay, "The Blue Herring", written by myself in 2018. However, this short story can also stand on its own. (I recommend reading the screenplay first.) ---------------------------------------------------- 18 y/o Lionel Enright, having recently graduated as Valedictorian of his high school class, is self-considered a misfit of sorts. However, he has never been let down by his incredible intellect. Others know this as well--including the members of his town's skillfully concealed criminal alliance, Decadent. Being a young, clever lad whose name is scarcely known in his hometown of New Haven, Connecticut, he is the perfect contender for induction. In other words, their ideal new recruit. For all of his life, Lionel has never been a trouble-maker; not once a delinquent, a hot-head, or a player of any kind. However, Decadent has been known to change people--to change their paradigm and how they view themselves and the world around them. It has also been known that after a while, those members who were hesitant will no longer want to leave. In other words, as time carries on, they eventually come to enjoy the thrill of it all.
