Both men feel more than just friendship, both men feel confusion, both men feel fear.
The people aren't ready for love yet, will Laurens and Hamilton be?

- The story takes place in the historical time, I try to keep it historically accurate, although I may change or interpret some things different for the vibe.

(I know that Laurens is the one that's 3 years older, but John sounds cute as a shy kid. I also know this is probably crappy, and ive changed some details, such as Lafayette being three years older than Laurens instead of three years younger, and ive made relations between characters that aren't real. 1789: Thomas Jefferson returns from France and meets Alexander Hamilton for the first time. It's hatred at first sight, but it will eventually change into something none of them would ever have imagined. Set in the 18th century, the two political enemies will have to overcome their own fears and to hide their love, while trying to build their new nation. (Jamilton / past Lams) ***And then it happened. Jefferson looked away from Burr for just a second and fixed his eyes on Alexander's. Alex's heart stopped and he felt his blood running cold into his veins - what should he do? Should he nonchalantly walk out of that damned alley, or run away, or what? He was trying to think fast, but in the end he just stayed there, frozen on his spot by Jefferson's smug stare. For what it seemed to be a lifetime, Thomas's brown eyes held his gaze, tying Alexander's blue, wide eyes to his, reading his very soul like an open book. Then, he winked and turned to Burr again, acting as if nothing had happened. Alex abruptly retreated into the deep shadows of the alley, breathing hard and sweating as if he'd just had an epiphany. Time traveling to the 1760s is as fun as you would've thought it to be. Too bad that I didn't think about it, and now I'm stuck in a foreign time with some orphan child from the Caribbean and no knowledge on how anything works. ---- The fifth of July. Alexander knows he loves Laurens. He also knows that he is straight and only has a platonic relationship with Laurens. He does not think about the taste of Laurens' lips, the soft curls of his hair framing his honey-drop freckles, the curve and snap of the muscles under his skin, or the region under his breeches he wouldn't dare say even under the cover of his thoughts. He loves John Laurens, but not like that, ya know? I mean, come on, there's no way he's gay in a time where that could get you killed, where he's a public political figure, where he's a proud American soldier, where he could die any second (thanks to the time period and his mouth), or where he's married to Elizabeth Schuyler. A Hamilton AU where everything is the same except Alexander is a woman and she marries Elijah Schuyler. For the most part it is told from Aaron Burr's perspective, but that might change for certain chapters. I made this simply out of curiosity, and because I watched too many animatics, plus I thought it would be interesting to see how the story would play out with a female protagonist. The character interactions, lyrics, and overall plot could be impacted in many ways, and I'd like to see how that goes. I'm basically converting lyrics into text, tweaking them based on the needs of the context. Feel free to comment on anything you like, any little mistakes that need fixing.
