This is a poem I wrote for my poetry collection dedicated to the work of Edward Hopper. The title of the painting is the poem's name sake, "Sun in an Empty Room" (1963). https://www.edwardhopper.net/sun-in-an-empty-room.jsp

Lacuna ¹

60 parts Complete

Lacuna (n) a blank space, a missing part. For 9 centuries, he has been looking for his love, his darling, his one and only, his mate. Everyone around him seemed to have found their beloved except for him. It pained him to no end, to see the people he calls family ignore his feelings and pain when he looks at them as they are cuddle together with their mate, that was all he wanted...a chance at love. Little did he know that the universe heard his pleas and decided to gift him with his Lacuna, his missing part. 🌹🌑🌹🌑🌹🌑🌹🌑🌹 "To live without you any longer would be torture-" "-a day alone, only that would be death" 🌹🌑🌹🌑🌹🌑🌹🌑🌹 (OC × OC)
