After saving millions of lives in a Ba Sing Se terrorist explosion, avatar Korra tragically passed away in battle. During this time of grief the question remained "was there a next avatar?". For the public eyes there was. In times of instability and in the age of media, the White Lotus created a new "avatar", a young boy from Gao Ling . Far away in secluded desert stretches, the new avatar was indeed born. Born to Sand Benders, and hasn't been discovered to the world. Atleast for now. With two avatars and a new world to protect after Korra, Genji has quite the legacy.

The Legend Reborn is a story I wrote in late 2014 about the Avatar after Korra. After the release of the Legend of Korra follow up comics I went back and added references to the events of the comics but didn't change my story. Following the 2021 announcement of Avatar Studios I decided to share my ideas since it's very possible Bryke could decide to continue the Avatar Cycle and render my story implausible. I hope they instead decide to go backwards (possibly a Kyoshi series) since there are also many other great fan projects that would be rendered implausible by a Korra sequel (notably The Legend of Genji, a project very different from my own but has my respect and admiration). But who am I to disagree with what Mike and Bryan do with their own fantastic universe. Hope you all enjoy the story. 😊 Disclaimer: I do not own or have any rights to Avatar: The Last Airbender, Legend of Korra, or any other content (present or future) from this universe. When Tenzin realises that Y/N is an Airbender and an orphan, he takes the boy back to Air Temple Island to train him as an Airbender. He and his wife, Pema also decide to adopt Y/N as their son. The young boy goes on to be an older brother to Tenzin's two daughters, Jinora and Ikki and his son, Meelo. Y/N advances very fast in his Airbending training and after five years of training Tenzin makes Y/N an Airbending Master. Y/N starts uses his Airbending to help the people of Republic City in secret. One day his life changes when Avatar Korra comes to Republic City in order to be trained in Airbending by Tenzin. Y/N helps her train and the two of them along with their three friends Mako, Bolin and Asami form the new Team Avatar in order to stop The Equalist's and their leader Amon. There was once a legend that came from ancient book. This book was about how a very few avatar cycles. 2 babies are born. Both of the same decent weather it be Air, Water, Fire or Earth. The children must grow up together, master their birth element and grow to give balance to the world. And so when Avatar Aang was born in the Southern Air Temple, so was another baby. The monks that knew about Aang had yet to know, that a beautiful baby girl was born in the Northern Air temple at the exact date and time as Aang. Soon the Northern monks got in touch with the Southern monks and told each other the great legend has come true. The babies grew up together until one day Monk Gyasto and the other senior monks had something very important to tell the two young friends....... This is were our story begins... (NOT MY ART)

I've never been all that big on adventure. Sure, in my head I was the greatest adventurer who ever lived, slaying demons and taming dragons and what have you. But when you're actually there, and you realize that you're not just there but a Mary Sue too.... well that actually sucks. Awesome in its own way, but nobody wants to be a Mary Sue, or a Gary Stu or whatever. Oh right, I'm getting off track here. My name? Not Mary, that's for sure, but it generally depends on the story. See, if I was to introduce myself in a Japanese or another Asian styled world by my English name....that would be weird.... so I pick a name that I figure fits. Today my name is Amaya. Why? Well, I liked it. And I guess it fits. The name means "Night Rain", and it fits because well, I woke up in the middle of a forest in the middle of the night....and it was raining. Funny how that works huh? Also, I'm a waterbender. Neat right? I guess. But I digress. I should really get to the story right? Well, like I said, it was a rainy night, and I was cold, lost and alone....
