Just a teeny tiny 500-word short story/essay. There was a mini-contest in a writer's awards here I was competing in. There was a picture and we had to write a story on it, basically a picture essay-writing.
So I entered this story/essay and it won. I can't find that picture unfortunately, it was of a fantasy city like place with air vessels flying through the sky.
Descriptive writing is one of my strengths, so I used it here. The story's basically it.

Lily is a snow witch with powerful magic and a quick temper. Not the best combination. "The world around her swam with mottled light. How long had she been fighting?" So...in sixth grade we took this computer-skills class. Our final test was to write a short story in Microsoft Word. My story ended up fleshing out into the trilogy I am working on and planning to publish at somepoint in my life, but I realized how incredible my writing skill has improved between just the two or three years.
