Mason soon learns that not only she can see demons but her brother Ryan can as well. Ryan become endangered of demons killing him because Ryan no longer has his "Friend" to follow him around and protect him. what the readers will soon learn is that Ryan wont be the only one to fall into the hands of the evil demons

"Oh," he said, as my back hit the wooden wall. Damn it, of course. With nowhere to go, his arms locked me in between him and the wall. She didn't reply and I felt her finger move across my skin, lower, and almost all the way down my lower back. A shiver coursed through my body, strangely pleasant, and I felt her finger stop.
