It's called The Aether: the mysterious phlogiston substance that fills the space between worlds. It is akin to a great ocean with flows and currents, but it is not quite a liquid nor is it a gas. With the right combination of magic and technology, a world-ship can sail The Aether and travel between systems. 
These are ongoing adventures of The Horizon and her crew, as they explore new worlds, encounter interesting people, discover different types of magic, and maybe one day... find somewhere to call home.
