The Virus Had A Purpose. I am one of the survivors of Covid-19, the government sent it out. The elderly and people with prior medical conditions did not survive the "transformation" as they call it.
What I mean, like your comic books, we got powers, the simple way to say it. There is different categories for us. The virus had a purpose.

Post Plague Kidnapping - Published!
It's been five years since the plague struck. Leah knows there are other survivors, but she's avoiding them. She is doing just fine on her own. Surviving after everyone she knew died has made her physically strong and honed her intelligence, but she is emotionally devastated. There is nothing to fear if you don't make yourself emotionally vulnerable. James has spent the last five years helping to build up a colony of survivors. Breakers
A virus was unleashed in Japan, it was to combat the current virus, but someone mix the formula wrong and made something more deadly. Not all humans were affected, but the ones that was either got powers or dead. Some who got powers became insane and started killing, they have been labeled has Outer Ones and the very few who didn't became Outer Ones became Breakers and the Breakers have taken it upon themselves to stop the Outer Ones, but don't call them heroes. A breaker could easily lose control and become a Outer One.Concluída
L.O.V.E.
100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. *under going editing* 28 years after world war 3 ended and the world is still recovering The bombs and nukes went off and everyone that survived would never be the same. The radiation killed or transformed the living. Animals turned into hybrids and humans, well that's an interesting story. The school was created people for people like me. Those who had been transformed by the after effects. We gained "powers", the things our parents knew as fiction. We all came to school to gain control little did we know something bigger was going on.Concluída
Amber's Apocalypse - A Travelogue Companion to This Is The Fall
April 22 I've been walking for days, they're still tracking me though. i sleep high in the trees, I double back, walk in the river, cover my tracks, start false trails...it's all slowing me down but it's really the only chance I have. I'm on foot. I'm alone. The day the grid went down I was in the mountains and I stayed put for over a month, unable to contact anyone. The electricity is out, the phones don't work, no running water, no cars, no radio...nothing. It's dangerous to go into towns now, survivors are scared, starving and dying by the thousands, but their bodies seem to just disappear. Sometimes I hear screams in the night that sound like they come straight from the depths of Hell, and the scent of sulphur and rot rides on the breeze when the heaviest clouds block out the sun. I think it's the thing that got Dan...the thing that's almost gotten me. Shortly after the economic collapse. A pandemic or Strange Phenomenon took place a virus spread around the world. It was the successor to the flu called Prodigian. The virus spread went on to killed off millions of humans that were infected around the 1st year of its inception. It spread Global to the point that everybody became Asymptomatic. The virus evolved so much that it changed the molecular structure of the brain,nervous systems even down to the dna make up of humans. Humans began experiencing mutations, or exciting abilities that mirror Graphics novel characters. This provided people who were in a bad Economic social class but with Superior abilities, with villainous behavior, especially to the people in high economic social standings but with less desirable Abilities to be overthrown or conquered. Comic books were one thing, but reality wasn't quite so romantic. If you had powers, you hid them, and you prayed no one ever found out. I didn't know why until they got me. The After Effects
After it all happened, the Plague created what feels like a whole new world. Survivors created new lives for themselves and carried on with their lives. Me? I didn't get the chance to create a new life. Thanks to my absolutely wonderful father figure, I was forced to become an entirely different person. Thankfully I was able to escape his peachy influence and take some control of my new life. What I don't know is the Plague brought on after effects. Everything changed eleven years ago and only a few knew what actually happened after billions of people died. That all changes one-day though and I found my life completely flipped upside down.
