Ashlyn's world came crashing down around her when a medical advancement turns into an outbreak no one saw coming. After watching her older sister die not just once, but twice, Ashlyn finds herself still standing thanks to a neighbor. Now dealing with the losses she's faced, she finds herself banding together with a group of fellow survivors.
The group finds themselves racing towards the hope of safety. They quickly find that the road holds more surprises for them as they save some and lose others. With the world around them going crazy they find that the glue holding them together are the bonds they form.
Danger lurks at every stop. Will they make it to their destination that promises safety? With miles to travel and no telling what the next obstacle will be, the group learns that there's more to being a family than blood. Some ties go deeper when it's all you have left.
