Brainy and quiet Morgan Winters doesn't see what everyone loves so much about the famous James Potter, and sees him as nothing more than a distraction; especially when tensions over quidditch and a romance with her best friend makes him her worst enemy. But right when Morgan thinks she could learn to tolerate James and maybe even form a friendship, her biggest secret is exposed by no other than James himself and Morgan's world turns upside down. 

Can the two come together to resolve their differences or will they're hate run so deep they can't forgive? Will Morgan ever recover from her trauma and the world now knowing it? James and Lily are finally civil but Lily finds herself feeling something more that she can't keep denying. Meanwhile, a new arrival in school has easily made friends with all her fellow Gryffindors... except Marlene: determined to befriend the newbie, Marlene insists on spending more and more time with her. There could be more to all these friendships, but with the stress of NEWTS and a potential war on the horizon, will love blossom, or is it too dangerous to keep loved ones close?
