It's always seemed like Amber can't catch a break. 

After her parent's separation and her dad running out on her and her mom, she hasn't been the same. Her mother - making friends with the bottom of the bottle and inviting any stranger she seems fit into their home - has shut off from Amber completely after the separation. 

Amber feels lost, completely alone. She thinks she doesn't deserve to live a happy life, so she isolates herself from people before she can be hurt by them. Until... 

Zac has always loved music. He pours his heart and soul into everything he writes. After making his mark in the Christian Top Hits, he is just waiting for God to point him in the right direction for what to do next. But, after hearing the news about his little sister's illness, he races back to his hometown where he grew up and so happens to waltz on into the same coffee shop in the same little town that Amber just so happens to work at to support her mother's bills. Coincidence? Think again.
