Angel of the lake
Sword still in her hands, she stomped her foot again. "Why are you smiling?" Brainwashed? Check. Sheltered? Check. Lost and alone? Check and, uh, check. That about summed Megan up. Banished from the heavens-kicked out-same thing-everyone thought for sure that this was it for her. Of course, no one had taken the demon King into account. He shrugged. "Because I'm happy." "Why?" She asked. "Because I find you endearing." "Why?" Desperate? Damn straight. Loved up? Beyond recognition. Prepared to rip anybody and everybody's throat out at any given moment for looking at her wrong? Absolutely. Claudio had waited far too long for his mate. Nothing was getting in the way of their forever. Not life. Not death. Certainly not a war that she'd be heading. "Because I've waited a long time for this. I'm going to explain to you what it means to be a... mate."Concluida

At the Fields of Fire and Blood
The world is dying. Heaven and Hell have broken and collapsed, creating a post-apocalyptic landscape that is part purgatory, part platonic world of ideas, blighted by the horrors of the human mind. The sun lies dormant in the east, atop God's tower, while the west is plunged into darkness and haunted by all that lives there. There is no day and night cycle, nothing grows, nothing dies, nothing changes, unless magic is involved. Angels hunt creatures for their blood, to feed it to God so he can finish gestating. Demons kill and destroy aimlessly, their origins inexplicable and unknown. Stranger beings wander the ruins of what's left of the world. Humans need not eat or sleep, caught in a state between life and death. They cannot die or be born naturally, but they can be killed and they can be made. The few that survived with their sanity somewhat intact have locked themselves into warded cities, but their protections are feeble and often ineffective. The Order that united them is long gone, broken into factions known only by the sins for which they have fallen. The Houses that protected them are crumbling, falling into ruin as their members were culled down by angels and demons, as well as their own mad quest to save the world; the Pilgrimage, a vain attempt to steal into Eden and murder God himself. Soon, only the Scions will remain. Those that were left not due to merit, but because they were the last choice for being heroes. Those whose memories and minds are as damaged and eaten through as their world. Those who agreed to take on the mysterious Archons within their bodies and, through that contract, had ancient relics and rituals passed down to them. They converge onto a long forgotten neutral ground, trying to save themselves. A heroic journey through a nightmarish wonderland. A pilgrimage to God's tower, to make the world whole again. To cleanse the world of the horrors infecting it. To kill the God who will doom them all with his birth.Concluida

A DEAL WITH DESIRE
BOOK TWO: PRINCES OF HELL LUCIFER: PRINCE OF PRIDE The air crackled with heat, thick with the scent of brimstone and something darker-something that carried his name. Dain shivered, his breath shallow as Lucifer's fingers traced his jaw, slow and possessive, his golden eyes burning with something deeper than hunger. "You think you can summon me, bind me to your will, and walk away?" Lucifer's voice was silk laced with fire, a whisper that seared straight to Dain's soul. "Foolish, beautiful thing... I have watched you long before you spoke my name into the void. You are mine, and I do not let go." Dain tried to step back, but the space between them collapsed as Lucifer's wings unfurled, dark as the abyss itself, trapping him in a prison of shadows and heat. A clawed finger traced the pulse at Dain's throat. "You don't even understand, do you?" Lucifer murmured, almost tender, pressing his lips to Dain's ear. "This is not a claim of flesh-it is a claim of eternity. You belong to me, and I will carve my name into your very soul so even death cannot take you from me." Then, with a touch both searing and intoxicating, Lucifer's mark burned itself into Dain's skin-a sigil of dominion, of possession, of love twisted into something inescapable. Dain gasped, pain and pleasure entwined as Lucifer pulled him closer, his voice a whispered promise: "Even if heaven calls you, even if you beg to be free... you will always find your way back to me."Concluida
