"And now, you will die." The Emperor kindles his hatred, raising his shriveled and gray fingers. His anger releases as bolts of lightning, electrocuting the young boy in front of him. He writhes and turns with pain. The injured Lord Vader watches. "No." He turns and grasps Palpatine, but he had sensed his apprentice's turn. "You pitiful fool." He force pushes Vader into the gate surrounding the exhaust, it collapses under his force and he falls into the abyss. A yell of "Noooo!" and an explosion fills the chamber. The Emperor turns towards the boy again, cackling with victory, barely letting the steam settle from Luke.
"Now.. you will join your Father!" The lightning crackled out of his fingers, the storm was upon the boy. It was stronger than before, far stronger. He screamed and cried, the bolts were so powerful that he was thrown onto the gate, it barely held under his weight. "YOU WILL DIE LIKE YOUR FATHER!" The gate creaked as the lightning grew stronger until finally, Luke was thrown into the abyss, just as his father was.
The rebellion was dead. The entire fleet was obliterated, few escaped on Endor. The Emperor ordered Endor's destruction. The Imperial fleet organized itself as the embers settled down, launching across the galaxy to ensure peace and stability. The Empire lives on.

What if Rey had taken Kylo Ren's hand when he offered it the second time, deciding her best chance at defeating Palpatine and saving the galaxy was with him? There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version. The Remnants of Emperor Palpatine
THERE IS GOING TO BE MaJoR TROS SpOpLErS IN THIS FANFICTION. DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN The Rise of Skywalker. I do NOT own Star Wars(but wouldn't that be cool?) I could feel his hunters gaze fixed upon my form, I was his prey. I stared back at him, recognizing so many details that I had seen in my visions. "Take off your mask, monster! Show me your face for you are in the presence of royalty! I am Princess Sylvari Alvaross of the Royal Light Bloodline. Respect will be shown!" I said haughtily. Without hesitation, Kylo knelt on one knee and began to take of his mask. A quick hiss came from a mechanism on his helmet as he slowly peeled it off to reveal his face. I was stunned. He had black shoulder length hair, dark hazel eyes that stared into my soul, the body of man well trained, and a strong nose. I was expecting a literal monster to appear before me. I had judged him too soon, his looks might have been appealing but his aura was as black as they come. He spoke firmly with intrigue in his eye; "Princess Sylvari Alvaross of the Royal Light Bloodline I have come to claim what is mine by destiny, you." I rose from my bed and walked straight up to him at the edge of my force field. "I am owned by no one," I huffed. With an evil chuckle he stood up; "My name is Kylo Ren, Master of the Knights of Ren, and Commander of The First Order," He said proudly. "Kylo...Ren. Finally, a name for the monster that plagued my visions," I thought internally. So, I have decided to completely redo the OG trilogy book, so anything you saw there, ignore it. This book is the next in line after "Vengeance: A Sith's Story", and is a sequel. Led by Grand Emperor Darth Malidictus and his wife, Mother Talzin, the two giant entities bear their fangs, sharpen their claws, and snarl at each other regularly, with the Grand Emperor taking in Refugees that the Galactic Empire, that have been forced out of their homes, only further adding to the tension... Among the two empires, there are many in the Sith Empire that call for war, openly preaching their hatred for the "fakes" and the "false empire" that shames the name "Sith"... One of these individuals, is a man called Kyran Xovia, the son of Grand Emperor Malidictus, and is the prince of the empire, often referred to as "Darth Dreadis", or, "The Black Wind", due to his ability to galvanize people, and his innate darkness that shines through the night sky. Hating the Galactic Empire with a passion that is more fiery than even his own Father's hatred of it, Ky decides to make a stand against it...by joining, the Rebellion. Specifically with a group called..."The Ghost crew". After a mission on Lothal, things start to get a LOT more complicated...for the young Sith Lord... While independent rebel forces with their minuscule manpower each push back against The Emperor's cruel regime with all their might, they suffer tremendous casualties and are executed with exceptional cruelty. This new spark of a Galactic Civil War has already lit a fire too big to quell now, and will only get stronger. The Empire already has torn apart countless star systems, the inhabitants either joining the untold billions of the Empire, or being crushed under their heel. To be a man in such times is to live in fear, fear of the unchanging cruelty from the Emperor's iron fist, fear of stepping out of line. There is little hope in the midst of the scent of death and the cruel laughter of Imperial Officers, yet many hold on. Meanwhile in a distant and quiet forest of Kashyyyk, unscorched by blaster fire, a surviving Jedi and her family resides. Soon however, that will change, as the Empire has located the family.
