These are the same characters and sort of a continuation of the first book but this story is about Manny and Chuck, Simon's friends. I had no intention of writing this book but it sort of happened. Manny quickly became one of my favorite characters who didn't get enough page time and I wanted to see what would happen if I kept writing about him. I wanted to watch him grow with Chuck.
