The Shadow War

Ashton Fletcher Irwin can see. He can see the creatures that go bump in the night. He can see the black cloud hanging over other people.

Once he saw it as an overactive imagination, then a gift, eventually it became a nightmare he was forced to live with. The scars on his body showcased the times he had tried to stop seeing.

He learned to live with it, Ashton Irwin simply avoided people with the wrong amount of eyes, the people with goat legs, or the ladies with snakes for hair. But then something latches on to his best friend and he doesn't know how to save him.

And now he wishes he would only see; he wishes he didn't know.
