With another invasion, he conquered the world and eradicated the most magnificent race in the world and robbing their goddess of her people. Soon after, the Demon Lord is betrayed, his empire crumbling. The goddess is on the brink of death, the last princess of her people enslaved and abused and with no way to help her. I think of the story like this: This isn't the story of a hero slaying a dragon and rescuing the princess. Nor is this a story about a hero who triumphs over evil and rescues the maiden in peril. This is the story of a man, who fights as much with himself, as he does the world around him. He is no hero, he is simply a man, trying to make the best he can of himself, and fix what he broke.
