I raise my hand to knock on the door. But my hand hesitated. Maybe I was doing too much. Maybe I was wrong. I knock anyway. We needed to talk, this princess and I. The door opened and I saw her. The fairest lady in all the land resides in this very castle. "Oh, (Y/n)! I was wondering when you would get here! I wanted to take a round around the gardens!" 

(Y/n) (Y/l/n) has just started out a new job as the princess's guard. The job pays well and there's not a lot to do in it. It's supposed to be an easy job. Just keep the princess safe and alive. But no job is ever as simple as it sounds. Especially when feelings come to play.
Princess Aphmau is longing for one of those storybook adventures. She keeps her eyes open for a cute stable boy or a cute peasant girl that she could fall in love with. So she could have that fairy-tale dramatic romance. Little does Aphmau know, she's about to get her wish. Just not in the way she's been wishing. And not in the way she has ever imagined.
