When twin brothers Sandy and Dennys are caught up in one of their father's experiments, they find themselves in a strange desert landed peopled by humans only four feet tall. They meet other strange creatures - the deceptively beautiful nephilim, the winged seraphim and, of course, the unicorn.
As the brothers are drawn into a battle between good and evil, they gradually realise just where in time they are and the terrible danger threatening the world. Perhaps their presence is not an accident after all.
Willow's a Byron and they aren't just your average family. Not just because there are so many of them, but because they have secrets and traditions far outside the norm. Like spending as much time outside as in, and doing everything to keep rumours about any of them from surfacing.
But when Willow meets the transfer student, Rune, she finds a kindred spirit. He's just as cynical and just as alone as she is and it isn't long before they become friends. The only problem is that Rune's a rumour magnet and wannabe reporter.
With a family curse that's getting harder to hide by the day, Willow finds herself caught between family and friendship.
