My only love and Husband is dead, leaving me alone to face the carnage.

But I am always prepared for that worst fate to befall...............or am I?

I have to value our pride and honor. In any way.

This story has it's theme derived from an Indian traditional practice called Jauhar.
The women along with their children would mass self-immolate themselves after the men lost the war and life, to avoid capture,shame,enslavement, rape and eventual death.
This historical practice was very well known until the early 19th century but since then has become illegal.

The ornaments (shringars) mentioned in the story are important to any Hindu culture weddings.They are worn to celebrate the marriage and signifies the tie between the bride and groom.

This story contains some backward practices in India like serving and following your husband which are still highly practiced.
I don't mean to promote any of it.
