Orders and Conscience: An Among Us Fanfiction
The door slid open without a sound and I found myself punched in the gut. All along the walls were pictures of friends and family. How could I take this away from someone? All of this opportunity and hope? Who was I to decide that he should die? I saw fearful grey eyes staring up at me. "I'm sorry about this. It'll be over soon." Looking away, I slit his throat. His body fell to the ground with a thud and I took a step back. I had just killed someone whose name I didn't even know... K'dela has always been trained to always follow orders. No matter how you think about it, no matter how wrong it seems to be, never, ever, question it. Your life might depend on it. But when orders are to kill others, doesn't it mean that you're sacrificing others, potentially thousands of others, just to save one life; yourself? Honestly, K'dela never had a big problem with it, until she met someone who might just be worth defying orders for. TRIGGER WARNING: Violence, blood, death. Only an hour ago they were set on selecting anyone but me. What made them change their mind so quickly? "We were wrong about you, Genesis," the woman said. "We now believe you have the potential to do what your unlucky peers could not. However, you should know that there is no room for mistakes." Nareem leaned forward and picked up his chin. On a normal basis, he was about as intimidating as a rabbit. Now, though, he was pretty close to the office cat's level. "Don't mess this up for us, Miss Duri. Otherwise the consequences will be a lot worse than death." --- Genesis has always wanted to lead a mission to the Polus Space Station, orbiting a Jupiter moon millions of miles away. While each attempt to get there has been compromised by the scheming, violent Conclave, Genesis's hopes to become the next captain of the Skeld have not once faltered. When she finally gets the opportunity of a lifetime, Genesis quickly discovers that, despite her caution, all is not what it seems. Her superiors have maintained minimal contact, and she has reason to believe any one of her crewmates could be an imposter. Once the killings begin, she must act quickly to outwit the Conclave before she and all her crewmates are murdered in cold blood. --- **The characters are original, but this story is based off a game called Among Us. The Amonger Games (WIP)
It's a normal start of mission for Mira HQ's Skeld mission #0275629. Our crew embarks on their journey, excited to explore the unknown depths of space. And there's no danger at all, because the alien imposter problem got solved years ago....right? And what if, after you come back from your mission, the earth you left has been replaced with a broken world. Part one of this story is done, it's also in progress being edited, so if y'all like it let me know. There will be mistakes and things still needed to be fixed but it's pretty good (as my beta readers have said). I'm trying to combine Among Us with The Hunger Games.
