This is the story of sixty-five year old Evelyn White as told by Evelyn White. She's writing everything down in the hopes that one day the things she learned will help someone else. Besides, is there a better way to be remembered than in print? She begins her story with her sixteenth birthday, the day her life began to change. Up until that point she was a typical teenager. She came from a wealthy family, not Beyonce wealthy but she had every advantage in the world. Evelyn was beautiful, smart, kind, sarcastic, and a dancer. She sounds like she had the perfect life, right? Well, she did. At least until it took a nose dive for the worse. But did it really? That's for you to decide. This is the story of a girl who grew up wanting nothing only to want everything.

The choices I made might not have been the best but every thing that happened shaped me.
Some people might say that I was a coward, and I was, but I prefer to think of it as self- preservation. I didn't think that I would be able to handle the pain so I ran. It was the cowards way out but everyone is a coward at least once in his life, this just happened to be my moment. But someone once told me that being fearless is not the absence of fear. Being fearless is recognizing that something scares you and doing it anyway. Fearlessness is the ability to face your fears head on. I couldn't do that when I was younger but I like to think that I can now.
