In the March of 1872, Chapworth Manor burns down under suspicious circumstances. Detective Constable Mortimer is sent to investigate, but as he delves deeper into the mystery, more unanswered questions arise. A terrible tragedy that occurred eight years ago seems to be somehow connected to the fire. But how? Why does Master Chapworth’s beautiful daughter keep sneaking out at night? Why is the young piano tutor so afraid of marmalade? What is the head butler’s real name? And why does the new servant boy keep turning up in the most inappropriate of times? Not all is as it seems at Chapworth Manor. Will the truth finally be revealed? And what really happened on the night of the fire? One thing’s for sure. Things lost in the flames of revenge can never be brought back… Co-written by @susanherondale and @lucindalaflaga For more, check out @lucindalaflaga's story 'Win, Lose or Cheat' to read the story from Felix's POV.

We were a whole group of friends. And yet, I was feeling so lonely. It was hard to trust the others knowing that one of the players of this deadly game of cards would do anything to kill us... With all the revelations, treasons, and breath-taking clever strategies, would I be up to the task? Warning: this fiction is a thriller, but still contains two/three scenes that may be offensive to young audience. No worries, I will add a warning just before each passage involved. Inspirations: I was highly inspired by the French game The Werewolves of Millers Hollow, itself based on the game Mafia. I also had the idea for this novel while listening to the song "Lily" by Alan Walker (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTJbE3sfvlI). To finish, my friends can feel some Danganronpa and La Casa de Papel vibes in the story. I therefore invite all these two series' lovers to read it! Big thanks to Théo and Lilith676 for this amazing cover *-*
