Thrust into adventure, she must overcome the darkness of the world to fulfill his final request: "Be better than me." Combining elements of fantasy, Southern lore, mythos, scifi, and D&D, Landes weaves a unique gothic fairy tale of gods, magic, and intrigue. This work takes inspiration from the writings of H.P Lovecraft, Neil Gaiman, Tolkien, and Micheal McDowell with a focus on crafting a new Southern mythos.

Mia is used to reading about this kind of stuff, not living it. Safe to say she finds herself in one hell of an adventure. - - TW: if you need a tw for fighting, violence, weapons, blood, death, etc. I would read with caution (I don't get into any gory details, but there are scenes w/ this) I will put tw's for the more violent scenes.
