Hello!
The Winter Tribes is a short novel written by a group of three people in middle school. Just so you know, this is our first novel, so forgive us if we accidentally leave some unexplained plot holes. We know, this is a lot like the book series Warriors, but we do not copy and only draw inspiration from it.
(Warriors is a genuinely good series and it has an amazing community; go check it out!)

FYI, the first few chapters are the worst ones, because we just started at that time, and it took us a few chapters to write better. We promise it gets better along the way, so please read the whole thing to have a better experience to this book.
We're currently still working on the first and second installments of this series right now, so sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Shadow is exiled from her tribe after the assassination of her tribe's leader. When hopes for home slowly disappear, she decides to use her life to rescue young Frostfangs left on the high Sharprock peaks left to die by the evil Nobility of the Frostfangs.

As Shadow builds a new tribe out of the dust, she finds old friends and new, who agree to join her cause.

Shadow must be strong and defend her growing tribe for the sake of the tribemates that she raised and survive the troubles that her tribe must survive to become stronger.

Disclaimer: This is a completely different world with completely different clans. This fan-book is based off of the book series "Warriors" by Erin Hunter. Since this is based off of Warriors, there will be mild violence in this book. All the characters and the setting of this story is my original work while the rest (like the way how Clans and warrior traditions work, etc.) belong to Erin Hunter. "BEWARE THE BURNING ONE, ELSE ALL WILL FALL." Cats have been living in Clans on three islands for uncountable generations. ValleyClan has been struggling to survive in the past few moons as their enemies grow more powerful. CaveClan is becoming more of a threat and prey has become scarce as leaf-bare comes, but a young apprentice by the name of Darkpaw lets her own curiosity get the better of her to help her Clan-and maybe, just maybe she's the warrior ValleyClan has been looking for. NOTICE (so people won't bother me about them): I had not read past "The Prophecies Begin" when I wrote the prologue, chapter 1, and chapter 2 so you may seem some characters with names that already exist. Also, some cats' appearances may be based off of domesticated cats, are unrealistic, or don't follow the rules of cat genetics. I am aware that regular warrior cats are wild cats, but when I made these designs, I got so used to them that I am not encouraged to redesign them. But hey, this is a fictional story! Multiple things in this book may not be accurate to the traditional way of warrior life (due to me not remembering how it works).

~A Fanfiction Inspired By Warriors~ Along with the four clans of the forest, there is a group of mediators that keep the peace between them. As they get older, the time grows nearer for them to choose successors who will receive their immortality which has been passed on to them by their own mentors. But this group is hiding something, and it is only a matter of time before it is revealed to the chosen successors. Petalwish is unsure if she really should be loyal to CliffClan. She loves her clanmates dearly, but the clan deputy seems to watch their every move, just waiting for any cat to slip up. But it's the clan she was raised in. So, she should be loyal to them, right? Keenkit always figured he and his littermates were normal kits who would all become apprentices and be able to train together. But when a strange cat takes his sister out of StreamClan on the day of their apprentice ceremony, he quickly realizes such hope has become impossible. Sunpaw just wants to prove to his clan, BreezeClan that he can become a great warrior. But it isn't as easy as it sounds. Even though his rival apprentice Slowpaw is much younger than him, he is always beaten in battle training and he can never catch nearly as much prey. His mentor doesn't make it any better either. Pounceheart is always treating him like some helpless kit and he worries he'll never be able to complete his warrior assessment. Being a healer who suffers from severe anxiety isn't easy, but Twitchpaw knows as long as her mentor is there, she can get through it. But as tensions rise between FlameClan and CliffClan, she's worried about the future ahead of them.
