The apocalypse has come. Nothing can stop it, all you can do is fear the living and fight the dead.
Delilah had grown up with everything she ever could've wanted. When her parents divorced, she went through a rough time and separated herself from everyone who loved her. The apocalypse brought her to life, and she thought that she finally discovered why she walked amongst this world. Until she meets Daryl.
Daryl thought that he had been born for the zombie apocalypse. It was something he was good at. And, not only did it help him escape from the nightmare he called home, but it also led him to Delilah.
Will their broken pasts bring the two together, or will it just tear them apart?

I started to do a trail of kisses up to the back of the ear. The tension on her shoulders started to break slowly as I kissed each inch of her skin. I'd been so worried about how she is mentally doing since the death of Lori. She hadn't processed much after the little nugget was birthed. She jumped into action immediately after, coming with me to get formula, and didn't stop until we got back to our mattress. Barely making it out alive, Adaline and Delilah ran for the woods, resorting to everything their ex Green Beret father taught them in order to survive. They planned to lay low until the city grew quiet before going out to find their parents and those they cared for. But, after 4 days, Delilah grew sick with something neither of them could figure out and it made her feverish and weak to the point that she couldn't walk. With no choice and nothing else to depend on, Adaline resorted to carrying her older sister on her back day in and day out. One day in the Georgia summer heat, they hear the screams of children echoing through the trees and Adaline's body moves on its own.
