Maria was an aspiring nun before she was sent on an espionage task to be responsible for the operation of the detailed Japanese order of battle lists and seizing of documents from the enemy unit. She's gathering intel while having a conflict within herself, not because of being frightened, but because she experienced a life she wished to be true. To end suffering and for peace to prevail is the reason for her to join this operation. Along the way, she meets Isao Yamazoe, someone from an enemy nation who loves his motherland the same way he loves the vanquished land. She became forced to make a terrible decision more than ever- to fulfill her mission and destroy the peace within the promised nation or to let him rule over and betray her comrades who are fighting for sovereignty.
