Lixy Maryweather, daughter of a poor miller, has just about had enough of her stubborn fathers nonsense. Plus, the only reason they're still running that mill is Lixy. Lixy is a horse rider, an illegal one at that. In the land of Pollywaggle, horse racing is only for men, no girls aloud. So riding her black stallion, Shadow, with a black mask hiding her true identity, she races off into the games known as the mysterious shadow rider. Well, that is until she gets kidnapped after a race, and the best part is that it just happens to be some men from a neighboring country, one that they just happen to be at war with. Great.
