Terra is a girl living in a country called Sapreria. She lives under the rule of The Garden Conservatives that took over the government for power changing the acts of government. The country bans books from the time before and also modern medicine.  But something bad is going on; the country is getting sick with an illness that nobody seems to know about. Terra is willing to help discover what is going on with this disease but needs to break the laws of the country to find out what is going on. Will she?
