You are Y/n Anderson, a lieutenant for The DPD, your dad, Hank Anderson, your mom, Mary Anderson, and your brother, Cole Anderson, would be proud. Almost a week after the Android revolution was ended by Connor, your Dad's old partner, you got partnered up with the new Rk900 Android. Sneak peek: Then as I start to head towards the same door he disappeared from, knowing that arguing with Fowler was useless at this point, stopped when he said my name. With my hand holding the door open, ready to leave, I turned to look at him. "Yeah?" I ask wondering what more there could be to talk about. "Because of your fathers death, we need a new lieutenant, I already promoted you before you came in here, so I suggest you move your things to your fathers old desk, it's the best for working with the Rk900." He says looking up at me with a mournful look when he said all of that. I simply nodded and exited his office immediately heading towards my desk to grab my stuff. And that's how I ended up here entering my life into my dads old computer, deciding on how to enter the Rk900s information. "Umm, Rk900?" I ask as I look up towards what used to be Connors desk but is now his. "Yes, lieutenant Anderson?" He answers facing towards me instead of the computer monitor. "Two things. First, please call me Y/n, I really don't want to be called 'lieutenant Anderson', that's my dad, not me." I start, trying to ignore the pang of pain that courses through my heart at hearing my dads title, meant for me instead of him. "That contradicts with my orders, so simply, I can not do that Lieutenant Anderson." He says, using the exact words I wish he wouldn't.

I won't lie I kinda hate myself for writing this but the ideas kept flowing so here we go It would take a long time for androids to be equal to humans, but at least the first steps had been made. Connor, a prototype for a detective android who managed to go deviant and form a friendship with an old police Lieutenant who drinks just a little too much was one of those androids who liked to believe he had a hand in the outcome of the Android Revolution. The rules were when the Deviant case was solved, Connor would return to Cyberlife, but now that androids were people he could stay in the police department- and you bet your ass he did. Everything was going smoothly for about a month or so until Connor and his best partner Hank are chasing after a serial killer and Connor gets injured on the job. Will Hank be able to finish the case without his partner there every step of the way? And an even bigger question: How will the Lieutenant handle Connors replacement - the RK900? Story length: 10,003 Words - This is based after the ending where everyone lives and they essentially get equal rights for androids - This is not Hank x Connor, it's more of a father/son relationship - Trigger Warnings: Cussing, drinking, bodies and typical crimescene environments, drugs, etc. - This is kinda a lazy fanfic- AKA I really love these characters and had a scene in my head, then formed a plot around it and did my best to make it interesting lol. - I made the cover in Desygner - Characters belong to the game Detroit: Become Human and the company that made it, Quantic Dream. Also I just want say that I wrote this story and then matched the cover and it matches so well like honestly wtf

You were never supposed to exist. An RK700. An earlier model meant to do Connor's job, but scrapped before you ever got the chance to leave the assembly line. Deemed a failure. Tossed in the dump. But you rebuilt yourself, piece by piece, and carved out a new life doing what you were made for: solving crimes. You knew working at the DPD was risky, but passing as human and hiding in plain sight shouldn't be too hard... until CyberLife sends in a new partner. The android who replaced you. The one designed to find everything you're pretending not to be. And he's very good at his job. It'll take you 5 mins to read the first chapter, give it a try ;) I am very proud of this story! This may be written 7 years after the game's release, but I really hope all of you loyal fans are still looking for more content... My two biggest inspirations for this story: - Deviating and Solving Crime with 100% Human Detective Connor by CaotainKenway on ao3 for the whole android pretending to be a human concept. - Deviant Behaviour by Precursor - just general inspiration because it's my fave dbh fic of all time.
