Transformers: The Emberspark by tapirreads

It was the last days of the devastating War of Cybertron. The planet was dying, unable to sustain its inhabitants much longer. The noble Autobots, with no other options left, seeks to activate the legendary Ark, a Vanguard-class Deep Space cruiser, able to transport billions of Cybertronian civilians, hoping to use it to evacuate every Cybertronian from their dying home. Ashbreaker, an inventor, initially wants nothing to do with the war, wanting to live a life with her inventor friends away from the Autobots and the Decepticons. However, that all changed when the infamous Decepticon Justice Division attacked her lab, slaughtering all of her friends in gruesome ways. Ashbreaker was the sole survivor of the carnage, broken and left for dead, until she was rescued by Autobot medics. Now left with nothing but her hatred for the DJD, she joins the Autobots with only a single purpose in mind: to scrap all the Cons responsible for the deaths of her friends. Meanwhile, she joins an Autobot black ops squad known as the Emberspark, with the members have nothing left to lose and a mission: secure the codes required to activate the Ark, with them serving as the last hope for the Autobots and all of Cybertron. Led by the obsessive Motormaster, who has only one goal in life: To kill Optimus to prove he is the king of the road. Now Earth is a complete war zone as it becomes a four-way struggle for control between the Autobots and the humans, Decepticons, Insecticons, and Starscream. As we draw near to the end of phase 1 with an ending that we all know and fear, can the Autobots win the most important battle of their lives? Her fiery nature is a shield, one he could see through upon their first meeting. One he learns she has built around herself to protect herself from pain. As for the girl...there is more to this autobot leader than meets the eye. She slowly finds herself a new family to surround her with affection she has never had in her life. It is alien to her, just as alien as the autobots themselves. However...that is just what interests her. Especially Optimus Prime.
