Murderer. Tyrant. Psychopath.
Princess Helen murdered her twin sister at the age of two and dragged her corpse around the palace. Now she is forever labeled as the insane sister of the handsome prince, a disgrace to the family and the kingdom. She is constantly shunned and feared for something she doesn't remember doing. She was imprisoned for her whole life, never to have seen her family. After her mother is assassinated, she is set free to a hostile world in which she is seen as a monster.
But Helen doesn't have time to clear her name. She has a family to console, a kingdom to take care of, and a truth to discover.
TRIGGER WARNING: main character's backstory is very dark (murder), there is more murder in the story. Descriptions of violence and alcohol, some verbal abuse. No descriptions of gore, no sexual implications. No cussing. Generally readable for 13+ because the author is thirteen herself. If you've read Divergent or The Hunger Games, you can read this.
This is a first draft.
