How will I die?
Now that's the million dollar question I've been asking ever since I was 13 years old. It's not that I want to die already. But the thing is I have this ability to see how and when people die, crazy huh. This ability I have is a blessing and a curse. I try to make it useful, I tend to save as many lives as I could. The weird thing is that I don't seem to be able to see how and when will I die. I'm searching for answers. Hoping there's others more like me.

Imagine this: drifting off to sleep, only to awaken in a world beyond your wildest dreams. You find yourself in a different civilization, at different point in time, where magic is a part of daily life with extraordinary laws of physics. Every year, my town chooses a sacrifice for the demon that "watches over" our home. In exchange for a person from the village between the ages of 17 to 25, the demon protects our village. And because of that pact, our village is protected for the next year, under the demon's watchful eyes. No one knows what happens to those who the demon chooses, but there's a lot of theories about it. One is that the demon eats or absorbs those who are chosen - another, that it kills them. But this year, I'm the one who's chosen. I get to meet the demon I've feared since I was a child, and now that I'm 24, and am considered an adult, I could have left the village behind. But I didn't. Something inside me told me to stay. Now, I'm going to die. I just know it. I can't leave now, or run away, because the town would be unprotected for a whole year, and that's where my family lives. I'm different, I can read and see what people think. Every moment of everyday... it's not normal. I've been this way for too long.
